Medano Zapata Ranch

The Medano Zapata Ranch, a.k.a. MZ, is located at the base of the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. This breathtaking ranch has only been hunted one year (2009) since records have been kept. In 2009, nine bulls were taken at a 100% success rate. These bulls ranged from 290-367”. Tags are guaranteed and the ranch can be hunted from November 1st to December 31st. Cow elk tags can be added to bull hunts or purchased solely. Accommodations include a beautiful, all inclusive lodge with first class amenities including a hot tub overlooking the Great Sand Dunes and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Lodging is also available for family members who are not hunting, but may want to go on trail rides, visit the Sand Dunes or partake in other activities and visit local attractions.
