"I have hunted with La Garita for 2 years in a row and I have been very happy with both hunts. A good friend and I both harvested NICE antelope bucks our first year with them. This year we booked whitetail hunts with him. He did a great job finding a big deer with split G2's, then put me in the right spot to get him and I missed.........painful but my fault!
I have hunted from Argentina to Africa. Based on my experience I would say that La Garita did a good job finding the animals and putting me on them. On both hunts I had memorable experiences, saw trophy quality animals, and had great opportunities to harvest. I am planning to book with them again this coming year.

“Hello - my name is Steven Hamrick, from Clarksburg, West Virginia. I have been on three different hunts with Mike's outfitter services. Two of the hunts were in La Garita Wilderness Area during elk bow season in September of 2010 and 2011. I had an opportunity both years to get close to bulls. This past year, I passed on a smaller bull and harvested a cow elk. In November 2011 a friend and I went to Kansas to whitetail hunt on a lease that he has. Even though I didn't harvest any bucks, I did see a few over 140 to 170 that I didn't get to shoot at. Mike is a good horseman, hardworking, dependable on pick up time, and will do his best to tell you where you can see game to harvest. I plan on doing more hunts with him in the near future, including a return to Kansas in 2012.”
